Humble Indie Bundle

A bundle of Indie games has become available called Humble Indie Bundle. Included are: World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru, Penumbra Overture and now, Samorost 2. Price? you decide.

Your payment can be divided between the developers of the games and charity (including Child's Play and EFF).

World of Goo: is an awesome 2D building/puzzle game
Aquaria: Underwater fantasy world = I'm not going to install this one.
Gish: 10 minutes was not enough time to master the controls, but looks fun.
Lugaru: 3D ninja bunnies, what else do you need? There are even mod packs.
Penumbra Overture: Horror game. Not my preference.
Samorost 2: This is a fun puzzle game. Flash based. Pretty short though, 1hr or so.

Scott Sharky of 1UP.com mentioned this on his Podcast (the Oddcast) today. As I was initially dismissive of most of these titles, I was interested to learn that Aquarius had a likeness to "Castlevainia: Symphony of the Night", originally for the Sony Playstation. I might give this a go, if only to see how similar those 2 titles are, as the later is one of my favorite games of all time.

I guess for the limited time I actually have to play, games need to be a bit more up front with the action, spending time making meals doesn't jive with that. That said, I'm sure it would provide a more imersive(ha) experience and much longer play time. It also looks well developed.
