Don't call it a comeback

In the weeks prior Sideline Gaming has been delayed by site upgrades, lots of work at my real job and Left 4 Dead 2. Finally, this week Christy and I got on the same page and recorded episode 9.

It wasn't that we didn't try. In fact quite to the contrary we attempted to record this stretch of gameplay twice prior. The first fell victim to a random FRAPS crash, which I had never experienced before or since. The second attempt survived the recording phase, however A sound card misconfiguration caused the game audio to be recorded on our voice track, trumping our voices by about 50 decibels. Needless to say, it was unusable.

After being off of tank controls for the better part of 3 months, my re-introduction to them has been quite painful. As I mention in the video Saints Row 2 has spoiled me with a quick agile control scheme one that would nearly break Resident Evil 4 completely. None the less, the SR2 muscle memory seemed to present its self at the most inopportune times, causing more than a few deaths and the occasional accidental reload.

When it was all done I would say it was not the worst I've done playing a game. But after watching the video of our previous session, I can say I've done it better.
